            COMPANY OVERVIEW

Tasea Enterprises Ltd is family business owned by Sydney City Oysters who purchased the Tasea enterprises operation in late 2008, Sydney City Oysters have been in operation for over 20 years providing quality oysters to NSW businesses.

The facility at Bankstown in NSW, Tasea processes, packs and distributes quality oysters. Our aim is to thoroughly satisfy the consumer through the alignment of our quality suppliers and distribution channels.

All of our oyster¡¯s products are farmed in approved waters meeting strict quality standards.  This quality commitment is continued through our cold chain management from farm gate to end-user.

Tasea¡¯s end users range from chain retail, catering companies, top end food service providers and the traditional fish markets.

Tasea Enterprises Ltd is committed to supplying consumers with a quality assured and food safe product.

Full Traceability

Our products are fully traceable from farm to customer. Each package of oysters contains a unique batch/date code that is linked to full harvest details, including growing area, harvest date and harvest conditions.

Unique Packaging

Our oysters are packed in boxes or on presentations trays, complete with tamper proof strapping.  This ensures the product arrives to customers in optimum condition, with food safety as a foremost consideration.

Dedication to Customer Satisfaction

Our suppliers are dedicated aquaculture producers who are committed to providing a safe product that meets our high standards thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.

Pristine Growing Areas

Our suppliers farms are positioned in unique locations throughout Australia that offer ideal growing conditions with sparkling cool waters providing nutrients for optimum growth and condition.

Quality Assurance

Tasea¡¯s oyster suppliers operate under the relevant state Shell fish Quality Assurance Program.  This program operates through a rigid monitoring scheme of waters in which Tasmanian Shell fish are grown.


Tasea have also implemented a HACCP based food safety program to assure quality by building prevention and control into processes, so that potential problems are detected and corrected before product quality, or integrity can be affected.  Product processes and facilities are continually assessed for opportunities for improvement in effectiveness and efficiency in meeting these objectives. 

Daily performance is monitored against measurable parameters.  Determination of conformance to contract or regulatory requirements is verified on the basis of objective evidence.

All Tasea staff has an important role in contributing to Quality Management through care and diligence towards individual work practices.  Training is on-going and targeted at consistently meeting specified processing standards.

Our Quality Assurance Manual is a working document to be used by personnel at all levels within the company. It is designed to ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements are adhered to with consistency.
